More than 4,000 people on Harris County's voter rolls who may be deceased will still be on those rolls when voters begin casting early ballots Monday -- and they still may be on the rolls on Election Day, county officials told KPRC Local 2 investigates Friday.
An investigation by Texas Watchdog earlier this month found more than 4,000 people on the rolls whose personal information matches those found in federal Social Security Administration death records. Texas Watchdog also found voters had been cast in recent Harris County elections in the names of dead people.
But Harris County elections officials said it's too now close to the Nov. 4 election to take those voters' names off the rolls.
KPRC Local 2 interviewed Texas Watchdog Training and Investigations Editor Lee Ann O'Neal for its report today following up on our earlier revelations. Check out the video here.

Well, the historical record is clear: dead people vote for democrats more than 10:1. In fact, Kennedy carried Illinois on the strength of the dead.
Must be they like those progressive ideas in the afterlife.
I mean, no one is clamoring for "hope" and "change" than, well, someone 6 feet under the ground...
