Records were released Tuesday showing that Roland Carnaby, who widely claimed to be a CIA agent and was shot to death by police during a traffic stop in Houston earlier this year, had previously been accused of pulling over a woman in Pearland, The Chronicle reports. The Houston city government, which is being sued by Carnaby's family, had asked a judge to seal records pertaining to the case, but federal judge Keith Ellison declined.
The records show Carnaby told officers in 2003 that he sought to pull over the woman in Pearland and warn her about reckless driving -- but she called the police on him instead. But police let Carnaby off the hook in that case after a federal agent suggested they help him out.
Carnaby's widow's lawyer also released the video from a police officer's in-car dashboard camera showing Carnaby being shot.
