A Republican challenger has outraised and outspent Democratic incumbent state Rep. Hubert Vo in the third quarter of this year — but Vo has more money left to spend in the final weeks of the election.

GOP candidate Greg Meyers took in $105,756.57 in contributions between July 1 and Sept. 25, according to campaign finance reports posted online Monday afternoon by the Texas Ethics Commission. Meyers had spent $72,739.38, and had left $37,069.55 in donations, as of the last day of the reporting period (Sept. 25).

Meanwhile, Vo had raised a total of $97,620.51 during that period, and had spent $59,240.04, according to his report. He had $54,233.08 in contributions left as of Sept. 25, and also had an outstanding loan of $95,459.46.

The two men are running in House District 149.
