Five San Antonio bicycle patrol officers have been reassigned after suggestive photos of them in uniform surfaced on MySpace and were then aired by WOAI.

From the San Antonio Express-News report:

The photographs show several scantily clad women in various poses with the officers. Many are sexually suggestive, with the women lifting their dresses or bending over; in one, a woman is wearing a police jacket. Others simply show the women and the officers laughing.

The TV station aired some of the photographs after receiving them in an e-mail. They were originally posted on a MySpace profile.

The officers involved have been transferred to patrol while their captain investigates the incident — as is routine with all “line” complaints, which tend to be over relatively minor matters.

(The police chief) said an officer's punishment for such a violation could range from a reprimand to a three-day suspension.

The story goes on to note the heated public debate sparked by the photos. You can go over to the WOAI slideshow at this link and form your own opinion.
