In a blow to those arguing for more public disclosure, the Tarrant County College District has prevailed in a suit that sought to invalidate a $1 million contract extension the college’s chancellor received last summer.
Two Tarrant County men had argued that the wording on a June college district agenda inadequately conveyed that the chancellor's pay was up for discussion.
State district Judge Melody Wilkinson sided with the college and awarded it $46,240 in legal fees. Wilkinson was in Austin and could not immediately be reached for comment.
