AUSTIN -- State Auditor John Keel blasted the behavior of three of the most powerful military commanders in Texas, as part of a preliminary report to the Senate Finance Committee in Austin.
His findings, part of an ongoing audit, show three generals in Texas were double-dipping for years.
In fact, Keel’s data reveals the practice has gone on as far back as 2003, and suggests that significant lapses in oversight by internal auditors allowed the double-dipping to continue unchecked.
The 11 News Defenders also have posted Keel's report as a PDF. And you can read a previous post from us about this story at this link.
