State Rep. Charlie Geren promises to block new law school "any way I can"

It's deja vu. Remember last session when the proposal to build a new publicly-funded law school in downtown Dallas sailed through the state Senate before crashing on the rocky coast of the state House? Well now, the bill may be on course for the same fate. Only this time, instead of state Rep. Yvonne Davis stymieing the passage of the bill, Fort Worth state Rep. Charlie Geren vows to sink it.

The Dallas Morning News' Emily Ramshaw has the story and the money quote:

"I don't think we need any more law schools," said Geren, a Republican. "I'm going to try to kill it any way I can."
