University of Texas Medical Branch open meetings lawsuit settled

An open-meetings lawsuit filed by University of Texas Medical Branch against the UT Regents has been settled. Chron.com has the story and a copy of the lawsuit.
The Faculty Association and three Galveston residents filed the lawsuit in December, alleging that (the firings of 2,400 employees in November) were illegal because they were done in violation of the Texas open meetings act.
