(UPDATED) Check out Texas Watchdog Tuesday morning soon for the next installment of our investigation into the city airport system.
Texas Watchdog has reported that city airport executives used city resources to create a string of shadowy companies -- but now Texas Watchdog has found that more than half a dozen city aiport officals took jobs with those companies.
This raises questions about conflicts of interest, as well as questions about whether these city officials were putting the taxpayer first -- or laying the groundwork for potentially lucrative careers.
Houston Mayor Bill White still refuses to answer questions about what he knew about the goings-on at the city airport system. He's says he's waiting for his office to complete an internal review. His office has not gotten back to us in response to a series of questions we posed to them earlier today; we hope to include their responses in tomorrow's story.
