Houston's Jackson-Lee pushes for transparency for private prisons

For those of you who have been following our stories on private prison contractor Geo Group: U.S. Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee, a Houston Democrat, has introduced a bill in Congress that would make private prisons subject to the federal Freedom of Information Act if they are holding federal prisoners under contract with Uncle Sam.
