Go to our featured reports section (the left column of the screen at the Texas Watchdog home page) to check out our latest story.

This time we deal with the practice of lawyers at he Harris County Attorney's Office moonlighting for cold hard cash -- even if the case they're taking on is against the interests of Harris County taxpayers.

We're we amazed to find that this is completely legal, even though it raises all kinds of questions concerning conflicts of interest.

Make sure you read all three pages of the story:

Page 1: Harris County Attorney's Office officials' top-dollar moonlighting raises conflict of interest question

Page 2: Local jurists sought ban on moonlighting county attorneys, Ed Emmett says

Page 3: County attorney's office says it's not bound by ethics policy
