Sen. Robert Duncan, R-Lubbock, spent more than $15,800 on flights through the state Department of Transportation or chartered through a hometown firm, Lubbock Aero. That's according to state travel records covering Jan. 1, 2008 through May 1, 2009.

* A Feb. 7, 2008 flight between Lubbock and San Angelo. Cost: $1,550.40.

* A Feb. 8, 2008 flight between Lubbock and Childress. Cost: $769.92.

* A Feb. 19, 2008 flight between Houston and Austin. NOTE: The other two flights noted in the linked document were hired by Sen. Carlos Uresti but were grouped with Duncan's flight on this purchase voucher. Cost: $1,221.88.

* An April 16, 2008 flight between Lubbock and San Angelo. Cost: $2,156.49.

* A May 2, 2008 flight between Lubbock and San Angelo. Cost: $1,504.80.

* A May 20, 2008 flight between Austin and Lubbock. Cost: $2,228.13.

* A July 18, 2008 flight between Lubbock and Abilene. Cost: $1,223.36.

* An Oct. 9, 2008 flight between Lubbock, Austin and San Angelo. Cost: $2,824.00.

* An Oct. 17, 2008 flight between Lubbock, Vernon and San Angelo. Cost: $2,353.64.
