It's been nine days now since Texas Watchdog called on the two contenders for mayor to release their income tax returns.

Annise Parker has given up hers. So, where's Gene Locke, and will we get to see his tax returns?

Since we made our public request on Nov. 4, we haven't been getting responses from representatives of Locke's campaign.

That includes this morning, after we posted Parker's forms online. We called Locke's office at 9:30 a.m. and left a message for campaign policy director Jesse Dickerman. We also sent an e-mail to Dickerman shortly after 8 a.m.

The runoff is Dec. 12.
