Thanks to the crew at NewsRadio 740 AM for having us on this morning to talk about our digging into the federal stimulus weatherization assistance program.
We discussed our latest story, in which we found problems statewide -- including problems so bad in Abilene that the state had to halt the program.
From the Texas Watchdog story:
State inspectors in mid-April notified Community Action Program in Abilene that it was spending more than six times the limit on administration, according to the inspection document. Documentation of work done and money spent was in some case nonexistent, according to the findings.
