ABC 13’s Wayne Dolcefino keeps digging into the Harris County Precinct 6 Constable’s Office, and this time he found a “deputy diva” doing anything but work while on the taxpayer’s clock.
Check out the story by clicking here or below. And check out the interactive graphic so you can see how Dolcefino was able to piece together the evidence showing Sgt. Takila James working on her other business ventures when she was supposed to be on the job.
Dolcefino used social media sites like Twitter and Facebook to track where James said she was and compared it against her time cards.
Social media sites are becoming more common for investigators to use to uncover wrongdoing or unethical behavior. And we appreciate Dolcefino talking to Texas Watchdog about this growing trend.

“There's a timestamp with Facebook; with tweets, there's a timestamp. Heck, with certain social media programs, you can find out where people are, you can track them from place to place to place. It's a brilliant tool."
Texas Watchdog, for example, used Facebook earlier this year to find Houston school officials who went on a Costa Rican junket paid for by a school district vendor.
And over the summer, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel found people illegally selling food stamps -- using Facebook as an advertising medium.
Dolcefino told Texas Watchdog he’s got more coming as he continues to dig into Harris County constables.
